The Detroit Pistons haven't made a splash this offseason, and based on how things are trending, it seems unlikely that they ever will.

Trajan Langdon hasn't proven aggressive on the trade market yet, and part of that could be that he hasn't found a move where he deems the price is right.

Part of it could also be that the Pistons' front office believes that the gap between a second-round exit and a run to the NBA Finals is minimal, which leads them to make moves around the margins.

The Pistons have already filled the spots of Tobias Harris, Isaiah Stewart, and Caris LeVert with John Collins, Isaiah Joe, and Ebuka Okorie. Not to mention, the expectation is still that All-NBA center Jalen Duren will eventually re-sign to stay in Detroit this offseason.

Of the moves, it's hard to say any of the above will be the exact move that helps the Pistons get over the hump, but if Detroit truly does believe that minor moves can help them take the next step, one reunion on the open market makes too much sense to ignore.

Pistons should sign Bruce Brown Jr.

Bruce Brown Jr. began his career in Detroit after being selected with the No. 42 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Since leaving, the Miami product has made a name for himself as one of the best glue players in the league, serving as a key piece to the Denver Nuggets' championship run in 2023.

Brown thrived alongside Nikola Jokic during that season, earning himself a major payday in free agency, averaging 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 48.3% shooting from the field and 35.8% from three.

Obviously, since then, the versatile guard has bounced around the league, but after returning to Denver this past season, the playmaker once again proved just how much of an impact he has on winning.

Remaining unsigned, Detroit could find a way to land the veteran on a team-friendly deal, and given that the Pistons are in a much different spot in terms of contending than they were the last time Brown was in the Motor City, he very well could be open to a return.

Not to mention, a reunion with the 3-and-D talent would give the Pistons more confidence to potentially offload the contract of Duncan Robinson, to not only open up more financial flexibility, but also to have a two-way player on the court who better fits J.B. Bickerstaff's system.
