Pistons' lack of moves reveals massive belief in Cade Cunningham's newest teammate

Pistons are putting a lot of pressure on their latest addition, but for obvious reasons.

The Detroit Pistons haven't made the splash that Trajan Langdon suggested he would this offseason, and the frustration from the fanbase is more than warranted.

Alongside the fanbase, it's safe to say that the lack of urgency to find Cade Cunningham some help offers frustration to the team's superstar as well.

In the same breath, there's a chance that more moves could be on the horizon, moves that only the team's front office could know about.

There's also a possibility that Detroit's front office may believe that the offensive running mate they set out to find for Cunningham has already been added to the roster.

Pistons could be banking on an immediate impact from Ebuka Okorie

There's a reason that the Pistons made the bold decision to move up in the NBA Draft order to secure Ebuka Okorie.

Okorie is a young prospect, and the likelihood that the Stanford product or any rookie in the league will come in and hit the ground running, especially on a contending team, is slim to none.

However, if there's any prospect that was selected outside of the lottery who can make their stamp on the league right away, it's Okorie.

The undersized guard was one of the most explosive scorers in the nation last season as a freshman, averaging 23.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists on 46.5% shooting from the field and 35.4% from three.

Okorie proved that he can get to his spots on the court at will; he uses his size as an advantage by exploiting leverage mismatches and his speed, while also showcasing reliability as a shooter and finisher around the rim.

Obviously, at 19, Okorie has a long way to go before he can truly be trusted as a top option on a playoff team, but there's still an abundance of reasons for Detroit to be high on the rookie, if that is, in fact, the reason they've pivoted from making a big move this offseason.

Detroit could still be lining up another move this offseason, which many have wondered about given their recent trades to shed salary.

However, all signs point to the next big domino to fall in the Motor City being the extension of restricted free agent Jalen Duren.

If that is the case, the most likely scenario would be for the Pistons to run the roster they have now back out next season, featuring the additions of Okorie, Isaiah Joe, and John Collins as their offseason moves.
