According to HoopsHype’s transaction database, the Detroit Pistons have signed four players to Exhibit 10 contracts for training camp: Charles Bediako, Dawson Garcia, John Ukomadu, and Brice Williams. Detroit already has all three two-way spots filled, but there could still be opportunities for its four new players.
Though Bediako, Garia, Ukomadu, and Williams likely won’t earn a two-way spot out of training camp, signing Exhibit 10 contracts gives them a direct pathway (and incentive) to sign with the Pistons’ G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, for next season’s campaign. And from there, if they play well enough in the G League, perhaps they could earn more chances.
But who are these four new players?
Who did the Pistons just sign?
Charles Bediako: Standing at seven feet tall, Bediako is still just 23 years old. He’s spent the last two years playing in the G League, first with the Austin Spurs in 2023-24, then with the Grand Rapids Gold in 2024-25. Bediako was on a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs from October to December of 2023.
On September 12, the Gold traded the returning player rights to the Cruise, allowing Bediako to transfer into the Pistons’ system.
Last season, Bediako appeared in 50 games with the Gold, playing 4.5 minutes per contest. He averaged 9.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks while shooting 61.6% from the floor.
Dawson Garcia: For the past three years, Garcia played college ball for Minnesota. Before that, he spent his sophomore season at North Carolina and his freshman season at Marquette. He played Summer League with the Pistons.
The 23-year-old is a 6-foot-11 forward. He appeared in 32 games for the Golden Gophers last season, playing 35.3 minutes per contest. Garcia averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 47.4% from the field and 37.3% from deep on 4.2 three-point attempts.
John Ukomadu: A 6-foot-7 forward, Ukomadu played Summer League with the Pistons after spending five years in college: Two at Vincennes (in Indiana), one at Macomb Community College, and two at Eastern Kentucky.
Ukomadu played last year with the Cruise in the G League, appearing in 41 games and playing 21.2 minutes per contest. The 23-year-old averaged 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 52.8% from the field and 45.9% from distance on 3.6 deep-range attempts per game.
Brice Williams: At 24 years old, Williams just wrapped up his final year of college ball after six seasons. He spent the first four years at Charlotte and the final two at Nebraska, before joining the Pistons for Summer League.
Last year at Nebraska, Williams appeared in 34 games, playing 34.1 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 47.2% from the floor and 36.9% from deep on 5.4 three-point attempts per game.
