In light of the recent Cade Cunningham injury news, all eyes turn to head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, who's job undoubtedly just got a lot harder.

Losing a star player at any point of the season is a nightmare, but losing a player like Cunningham considering how important he is to what Detroit does offensively makes this development worst case scenario.

Offensively, majority of Detroit's sets run through Cunningham, as you'd expect for any team with a star guard of his caliber.

There's no doubt that Bickerstaff will have his hands full trying to find a playmaker that can emulate what Cunningham does on a nightly basis and while there's certainly outside options that the Pistons could consider, the team may look to weather the storm using a player who's already on the roster.

And if that is the route the Pistons decide to take, Bickerstaff and his front office will be faced with an impossible task that will force them to think outside the box.

Could Caris Levert change the narrative about himself?

If you ask nearly any Pistons' fan, Caris Levert may be one of the most frustrating players to watch play throughout this season.

Averaging 7.3 points, 2.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds, while shooting 41.2% from field goal range and 33.6% from beyond the arc in 19.4 minutes per game, there's no denying that the offseason signing of Levert has been underwhelming to say the least.

However, there was a time in his career where he was the focal point of an offense, dating back to his early years with the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers.

The 31-year-old has proven his ability to have an offense run through him during that stretch, and while he's certainly at a different point in his career, maybe there's a world in which increased opportunities allow for him to tap into the player Detroit hoped he could be when they signed him.

If not Levert though, who else?

Is Tobias Harris able to carry the load?

Tobias Harris isn't exactly know for his passing by any means, but he is one of the smartest players in the league today.

The versatile forward can read the game with the best of them, and the threat he poses to explode on offense if he gets going puts pressure on opposing defenses.

Obviously, it's a lot to ask for a 33-year-old to carry the weight of an entire offense, but of the team's in-house options, giving Harris more responsibility may be one of the best decisions Bickerstaff and his staff could make.

Regardless of which route Detroit goes, there's no way they will be able to completely fill the void Cunningham's absence offers.
