#15: Miami Heat select Zach Edey
Someone is going to take a chance on Edey, who tried to change the narrative around his game by shooting 3-point shots during the combine, as skill he may eventually have in his bag.
The bigger question is whether he’ll be able to move laterally enough to stay on the floor defensively, but on Miami, he wouldn’t have to as much, as he’d have all-world defender Bam Adebayo helping him protect the rim and switching on the perimeter.
The Heat could use someone who can score around the rim and Edey should certainly be able to do that, and if he keeps improving defensively, would potentially give Miami a smothering interior defense.
