8. The Utah Jazz select Ja’Kobe Walter 

A big combo guard who is a very good on-the-ball defender, Walter is a nice complement to the scoring guards that the Jazz already have. The Jazz are another team at a bit of a crossroads, as they have to decide whether to build their current team up around Lauri Markkanen, or perhaps trade him, get a huge haul and start a rebuild in earnest. Walter is not the most exciting pick, but he is a fit and would immediately help the Jazz’s defense, which is the worst in the NBA.
