3 Best bets to make on the Detroit Pistons next season
By Tyler Dutton
Detroit over/under 25.5 wins (-110): Over
Finally, I’ll take Detroit’s win total as a whole this upcoming season. Vegas has it set at 25.5, which is already 11 wins more than their total for last season, and would be their most wins in a season since 2018-19 when they finished with 41. We already mentioned this newly built roster has complementary pieces that can actually allow each person to play to their strengths, which alone is worth a handful of wins.
Outside of that, I think, based on this new coaching staff and their strengths, we see players improve in areas they previously struggled in. For example, I expect Fred Vinson to help turn Jaden Ivey into a perimeter threat, and Bickerstaff/Potapenko to help Duren take a massive step forward defensively. Add the roster additions to individual player improvements and I actually think Detroit is closer to 30.5 wins than the O/U 25.5. Pistons will double their win total from last year and this bet cashes.
