Best NBA prop bets today for Pistons vs. Wizards

  • Cade Cunningham OVER 24.5 points
  • Jordan Poole UNDER 6.5 assists
  • Jalen Duren OVER 11.5 rebounds

Cade Cunningham OVER 24.5 points

After missing three games, Cunningham made his return in Wednesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and poured in a team-high 32 points. Cunningham is only averaging 22.3 points per game, but with the Pistons' troubling injury report (Cunningham is listed as questionable with a knee issue), Cunningham's usage shot up against the Timberwolves with 23 shot attempts, his most in a game since Dec. 18 (24 vs. Atlanta).

If Cunningham is in line for similar usage Friday night against the Wizards, he should have a big night against a Wizards' defense that is 28th in defending shots from 2-point range (70.8% of Cunningham's field goal attempts this year are from inside the arc).

Jordan Poole UNDER 6.5 assists

Not that Poole shouldn't have a nice night against a Pistons' defense that gives up 121.8 points per game on the road this season (No. 28 in the NBA), but Poole is looking to attack more on the offensive end than dish to another option.

Poole is averaging 15.9 field goal attempts per game in March (his highest in a month this season) and has chucked up 20-plus shots in back-to-back games. Poole is averaging 17 points per game (20 in March) and 5.1 assists a night. Poole has hit this number in two of the last three games, but did need overtime in Wednesday's overtime loss to Brooklyn to finish with eight dimes. Overall, Poole has gone under this number in 19 of his last 24 games. He hasn't had back-to-back games over this assist number since early February.

Jalen Duren OVER 11.5 rebounds

Start with the basics: Duren, a 6-foot-10 center, is averaging over this number (11.9) on the glass per game this season as the No. 5 rebounder in the NBA. Duren was able to grab 11 rebounds in Wednesday's loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which boasts one of the best frontcourts in the NBA.

Now, Duren gets a home-run matchup against a Wizards' defense that is weak down low. Washington is last in the NBA in offensive rebounds allowed per game (12.2), defensive rebounds allowed per game (36.7) and he's eclipsed this number in all three contests against the Pistons this season, averaging 17 rebounds per game.
