#3: Detroit Pistons vs. Seattle Supersonics, March 31, 1989: 23 points

Finally, an old-school game cracks the list!

The 1988-89 Pistons are one of my favorite teams and one of the top five teams of all time in my completely biased opinion.

After scoring just 16 points in the second quarter and falling behind 69-46, the Pistons owned the second half, scoring 40 points in the 3rd quarter and holding the Supersonics (RIP) to just 15 points in the 4th quarter.

What made this comeback even more amazing is that the Pistons attempted just 12 shots from 3-point range in the entire game, almost unthinkable by today's standards.

Four of their five starters scored at least 20 points, led by Joe Dumars, Isaiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer and the criminally underrated Mark Aguirre. Thomas and Dumars combined for 23 free-throw attempts, which helped the Pistons get back into the game before their defense took over.
