Alec Burks will be traded to the New York Knicks

This might be wishful thinking more than reality but with the emergence of Marcus Sasser as a scoring threat and Burks' expiring contract, he seems the most likely of the Pistons' veterans to be moved.

The latest reports say the Knicks are still sniffing around and it makes sense, as they could use his shooting and he is well-liked by Tom Thibodeau.

The question is what the Pistons might be able to squeeze out of the Knicks. It's doubtful they will give up one of their extra first-round picks for less than a half season of Burks, so the Pistons might have to settle for a couple of second-rounders. Whoopee!

Is there something Detroit could add to the deal to net a first-round pick? Muscala? Gallinari? Probably not.

In the end, the Pistons can either settle for the lesser pick(s) or try to re-sign him in the offseason. It's probably 50/50 at this point, but I am leaning towards Burks being moved.
