A useful veteran for the Detroit Pistons
The Pistons need more veteran role players to fill out their bench for next season, preferably wings who can defend, shoot 3-pointers and aren't on big deals.
Veteran Torrey Craig (my favorite trade target for four years now) falls into that category. He's not great at this stage of his career, but he can come off the bench, defend and is hitting 38 percent of his 3-point shots.
He has a player option for next season, so he'd have to opt into the final year of his current deal at $2.8 million before he can be traded, and at that price, he's a solid veteran who knows how to play basketball and is familiar with Monty Williams.
Craig is hardly a player who is going to move the needle for the Pistons, but the additions of Mike Muscala and Danilo Gallinari earlier in the season showed how just having solid veterans coming off your bench makes a big difference with young players filling most of the roster.
But the Bulls have another player who would move the needle.
