Did the Detroit Pistons end up with the better Thompson Twin?

Defense was one of the main calling calls for both twins before entering the NBA Draft. It’s safe to say, for both prospects, that this skill has translated. During his time with Detroit, Ausar has garnered a defensive rating of 115, which is slightly better than league average. He has been able to switch when defending positions 1-4 and routinely has the toughest assignment on the court.
For the Rockets, Amen has actually been even better than his brother. Obviously in a smaller sample size as Amen has played less for Houston than Ausar has for Detroit, but Amen has a defensive rating of 107.4 this year. Amen’s rating is far better than the league average of 116. While he doesn't qualify for the top defenders based on his small minutes sample size, Amen's defensive rating is just three points higher than Rudy Gobert, the league's best rating at 104. With that being said, Ausar has corralled a few more rebounds on the defensive end, helping Detroit in an area of need.
