Option 3: Trade everyone not named Cade, Ivey, Duren or Ausar

The third and final option may be attractive to some fans based on the makeup of the roster and lack of fit. I have found myself in this camp a few times this season as well. Maybe you are of the mindset that this roster just is not cohesive the way it is currently constructed. Lack of shooting on the wings, no true floor spacing power forward, etc. That is a real concern and the answer to such may be to do a mini tear down. Everyone not named Ausar Thompson, Jaden Ivey, Cade Cunningham, and Jalen Duren is shipped out to once again begin collecting draft capital in an attempt to reconstruct a more cohesive roster via the draft.

This would likely be a combination of options one and two. In this scenario, you would keep your expected number one overall draft pick and add him to the core four you build around. The kicker in this path, however, would be that you possibly would have to move on from one of your previous faces of the franchise. Meaning, you might have to part ways with one of your four core pillars to get this team where it needs to be. Based on recent reports, potential and who is in/out with this coaching staff, it would appear as though Ivey would possibly be on the move if one of those four were to be flipped. It would hurt to give up on a young top-10 draft pick so early (see Bruce Brown, Kris Middleton, etc.), but sometimes you need to crack a few eggs to make an omelet.
