Detroit Pistons trading for Brandon Ingram

A recent article in Bleacher Report theorized what the Pistons might do if they land the #1 pick in the draft.

It was suggested that Detroit would keep the pick, use it to add Sarr and then use their big men as trade bait for a former All-Star on the wing:

Duren, Stew for BI

In this trade, the Pistons give up both of their young bigs, as well as two future first-round picks for Brandon Ingram in a trade that is very similar to one we suggested weeks ago.

The biggest difference is the addition of Stewart, which would leave the Pistons with just one teenaged center (Sarr) and no depth behind him.

But that need could be addressed in free agency, as there are some good centers available, including Nic Claxton and Isaiah Hartenstein. Adding one of these guys along with another veteran on a minimum would immediately upgrade the Pistons’ rim protection but is it too much to give up for Ingram?
