3-pointers made in a season: Malik Beasley

Current record: 211, Saddiq Bey

If I had to put a large amount of money on one of these records being broken, this would be the one, as it will almost certainly happen unless Beasley is injured or traded.

Saddiq Bey currently holds the Pistons record for most 3’s in a season and he wasn’t even very good. Beasley is not only more accurate but has shot way more of them in his career, so this one is a no-brainer.

Beasley has already surpassed this total several times in his career, hitting 240 in 2021-22. He should get plenty of opportunities off the Pistons’ bench and when he is in there, he is going to let it fly from long range.

Beasley has only missed seven games in the last three seasons combined and has averaged nearly eight attempts per game in that time. That is similar to Bey’s record-breaking season, except Saddiq only shot 34 percent from three, so this is a record that is primed to be broken, as Beasley hit 224 of them last season in 79 games for Milwaukee.
