The Detroit Pistons need to upgrade their roster this summer and there are several ways they could do it.

The Pistons will have cap space to add impact free agents, though that won't be easy considering the list is dwindling quickly.

Their best option might be trades, but when you look at the nine players they have signed for next season, none of them immediately jump out as likely trade candidates given that most of them are still on rookie contracts.

But it wouldn't be shocking to see some players shipped out if a clear upgrade is there, so here are six players we could see on the move.

6 Detroit Pistons at risk of being traded this summer

Evan Fournier

The Pistons would have to pick up Fournier's $19 million option for next season which is unlikely unless they plan to trade it. The only way this is happening is if they need a big deal to flip and match contracts, but considering they have the cap space to eat almost any contract, and no one will want to pay Fournier $19 million (even for one season), this ranks as very unlikely to happen.

Quentin Grimes

It's far more likely that the Pistons offer Grimes an extension this summer than trade him, but they need to tread lightly here. Grimes has barely played since joining Detroit and has been bad offensively when he has. He's shooting just 22 percent from the field and 16 percent from long range in five games for the Pistons, a small sample size.

If the Pistons haven't seen enough to be comfortable with an extension, or Grimes wants more than they are willing to offer, he could just play out his final year at $4.2 million and enter restricted free agency after next season. The Pistons don't have to be in a rush to do anything here, so they'd be better off just waiting to ensure he can stay healthy and is a good fit with the team before giving him a big extension.

But if they needed a sweetener in a trade this summer, Grimes could be on the move again, though he's far more likely to stay in Detroit, at least for one more season.
