Denver Nuggets: Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon
Here’s a prediction: One of these players will not be a Denver Nugget by the end of the season.
It’s likely to be MPJ, who is overpaid for what he provides (basically just a spot-up shooter), and it’s surprising that he wasn’t dealt instead of allowing KCP to walk. He’s a very good player, but given his contract, the Nuggets would like to move him and get a player who can help them that is making far less money.
Enter Tobias Harris. Enter Isaiah Stewart. The question is whether MPJ really moves the needle for the Pistons and whether he is worth the cost of his contract, especially when you’d have to send out players too.
Gordon could be interesting if he hits the market, but he’s less of a fit with the Pistons because of his poor outside shooting.
