Has there ever been a team more in "win now" mode than the LA Lakers? If they can convince LeBron to stay around for another year (likely by drafting his son), they will be desperate to make a big move around him and Anthony Davis in one last attempt to win a title.

If the Pistons were to get involved wth the Lakers at all, it would likely be as the third or fourth team in a bigger deal, as the Pistons don't have the kind of proven player the Lakers will seek this summer.

Expect them to be players for someone like Trae Young, and if so, the Pistons might be able to grease the wheels of the trade and take on a contract like De'Andre Hunter.
