Mikal Bridges

The Brooklyn Nets keep saying that they don't want to move Bridges, but if they wanted to start fresh, he'd garner the most on the trade market.

Bridges is one of the best two-way wings in the game and would be the final piece for a lot of contending teams, including the New York Knicks, who have a boatload of picks and assets they could offer.

The question is whether the Nets think their current core is good enough to build around, as they could certainly look to move some of their pieces to add players instead of blowing it up. The Nets are currently outside of the play-in picture but may look to sell off players like Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and Nic Claxton to build around Bridges.

Could the Detroit Pistons be involved?

Not at the trade deadline, no. The Nets reportedly turned down four first-round picks last season, so you can start the bidding there, which immediately rules out the Pistons. The only way the Pistons are landing Bridges is if they get the #1 pick, wait until draft day and try to package it with Jaden Ivey and another pick and swap or two, but they won't have the assets to do it at the deadline.
