Zach LaVine: The price drops and rumors heat up

LaVine has once again been connected to the Pistons after it was reported the Bulls may have to lower their asking price just to get rid of him.

I'm on the record as not being a big fan of a LaVine trade, but that was back when we thought it might take Jaden Ivey to get him. If the Pistons can land LaVine with Marcus Sasser and expiring contracts, they will have to consider it. LaVine is not a perfect fit or player, but he's also not nearly as problematic or bad as some people make out.

If the Pistons can get LaVine for cheap, they'd still have enough cap space to make another big move, and I could see Weaver doing this just to placate fans and perhaps save his job.

As I said, all of these are still unlikely in the grand scheme of the trade deadline, but none of them would shock me either. This will come down to whether the Pistons think it's better to make their splash now or wait until the summer.
