What could the Pistons get for trading the #1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft?

The Detroit Pistons have been working through their rebuild via the draft. But what if they decided to pivot and trade their expected 2024 draft pick?

Detroit currently has one of the youngest rosters in the NBA. On top of their current young roster, the Pistons are expected to add another young, top-tier talent to the roster via the 2024 NBA draft. There are many different factors that could alter Detroit’s draft position, but at the time of this article, the Pistons are slated to pick number one overall, though as we are painfully aware, having the worst record only guarantees a 14 percent chance and Detroit is more likely to choose 5th again.

Before everyone gets up in arms about looking too far ahead, I acknowledge there is plenty of time for things to change. There are also the challenging stipulations to be figured out with the Knicks before Detroit can trade any first-round picks. They can't trade their pick until after the lottery when it officially falls within the protections.
