Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Player option, $15.4 million

KCP is an interesting case this summer, as he’s found his perfect role on the Denver Nuggets, and has a fair player option for next season, but may be able to get more on the open market. Would he take less money to stay in a great situation in Denver or will he go for one last big contract?

If he ends up in free agency, KCP would be a nice fit with Detroit as a solid 3-and-D wing who rarely misses games and shot over 40 percent from 3-point range this season. Like Brown, KCP is best suited as a role player on a good team, but his skillset better matches what the Pistons need.

The Pistons need as many long, 3-and-D wings as they can get their hands on, especially ones with championship experience, which KCP has, so if he does decline his option (and doesn’t sign an extension), Detroit might have interest.
