#3: First pick or fifth doesn’t matter in the 2024 NBA Draft 

By all accounts, the 2024 NBA Draft has a fairly flat tier of talent with no true standouts or clear choices for the top five. 

The Pistons are just as likely to get a good player with the 5th pick as they are with the 1st and there will be plenty of available players in that range who can help the Pistons and play right away. 

It doesn’t have as much value in a trade as the 1st pick, but the Pistons can still trade it and expect to get a decent return.
