Every time you think this season has done its worst to the Detroit Pistons, something else happens and you discover that this season doesn't have a bottom.

The 28-game losing streak wasn't the bottom, oh no, because then Cade Cunningham got hurt, taking away one of the only reasons to watch this team.

The afterglow of the one win over the last 2+ months didn't even last long, as the Pistons immediately started another losing streak that has grown to six games (which would be alarming for a normal team but is pedestrian for the Pistons) including getting blown out by the terrible Spurs on their home floor.

But don't worry, that wasn't rock bottom. We may truly see it tonight, as the Detroit Pistons will be shorthanded again and are set up for an epic blowout.

Pistons vs. Rockets: Is Bojan Bogdanovic playing tonight?

The Pistons will be missing Monte Morris, who is more myth than man at this point, as well as Cunningham. Isaiah Stewart has been upgraded to probable, but in typical Pistons' fashion, when one player comes off the injury list, another must go on, so Bojan Bogdanovic has been downgraded to probable with a sore calf muscle. Ut oh.

This is the same calf muscle that kept him out of the end of last season and the beginning of this one, and with the trade deadline less than a month away, the last thing the Pistons need is for their only real trade asset to be hurt.

Of course, given Detroit's complete lack of transparency about injuries, this could just be them being cautious and holding Bojan out so that he doesn't get injured before inevitably being traded.

It could also be a season-ending injury, you never know with Detroit, so it will be interesting to see how Bogdanovic's status fluctuates over the next several days.

The Rockets beat the Pistons in their last matchup by 23 points and that was with Cunningham and Bogdanovic in the lineup. The Pistons may not score 80 points without their two leading scorers, though you couldn't blame Houston for taking this one lightly and not playing much defense.

The Rockets will be missing Tari Eason, Victor Oladipo and Dillon Brooks, so have some injury problems of their own, but it's not likely enough to make a game out of this.

The descent into the endless abyss continues, as the Pistons try to avoid being the worst team in NBA history.
