Bonus: Andre Drummond, 6’11 C, 30

Drummond qualifies as a bonus addition as he is not a part of the buyout market at the time of this writing. Before the deadline, it was rumored that Chicago was looking for multiple second round picks for the former Pistons draft pick, and even a first was floated out there at one point. Obviously this was mostly smoke and mirrors as multiple seconds for Drummond would have been an overpay, and a first would have been malpractice. With that being said, if Andre is waived by Chicago, Detroit should definitely be interested in a reunion.

Drummond would slide in well as the second or third center off the bench and give Detroit rebounding and defense they don’t currently have. Drummond is averaging eight points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.7 stocks per game. Only Jalen Duren has more rebounds per game than Drummond. Add his rebounding to a career defensive rating of 100, the league average is 116, and Detroit is suddenly a more balanced group. For what it’s worth, Drummond is the only guy on this list I would be in favor of signing, thanks to his ability to fill exactly what Detroit needs in a rim protector. But he still has not been waived by the Bulls. So we will wait.
