Mock trade the Detroit Pistons should run away from
The Detroit Pistons can't trade Jaden Ivey for Zach LaVine
We've heard Zach LaVine mentioned as a possible trade target for the Pistons and I've been against it from the beginning.
Michael Pina from The Ringer was the latest to suggest the Pistons should make a move to secure LaVine and here is the trade he proposed:
Ivey trade to Bulls
In this trade, the Pistons give up the 5th pick from the 2022 draft along with two expiring contracts for Zach LaVine.
On paper, this is the kind of trade the Pistons need, as LaVine can play, would immediately (well, not immediately, he's hurt) give Cade Cunningham the best offensive weapon he's played with, another scoring option, a guy who can spread the floor and get his own shot.
But games are not played on paper, which is why the Detroit Pistons should not even consider making this trade.
