5 Most important positional battles for the Pistons next season
Backup Center
-Isaiah Stewart
-Paul Reed
This is another position where the Pistons cannot afford an injury, as they only have three bigs who can play center.
We can assume Jalen Duren is the starter, but roles for Stewart and Reed could be more fluid.
We’ll likely see Stewart as the primary backup and Reed behind him, but the two will also share the floor at times with Stewart as the four if the Pistons want to be more diverse and quicker defensively against teams that don’t have a traditional center.
The Pistons have committed to Stewart but he has to be healthy this season or Reed will be breathing down his neck for minutes.
