The Pistons should bench Isaiah Stewart

Something has to change in the starting lineup, as the offense is broken and the Pistons have done nothing to help Cade Cunningham.

Stewart has arguably been the most consistent Piston this year and has shot the ball well, so this isn't a knock on him, but teams are perfectly willing to allow him to shoot the ball whenever he wants, so the perception is more important than the numbers at this point.

The Pistons have three players in the starting lineup in Stewart, Thompson and Duren that other teams don't have to defend, which is part of the reason we've seen Cade Cunningham struggle so much with turnovers. Teams just swarm him, or play drop coverage and smother the lane, leaving little room to operate.

Isaiah Livers hasn't played well yet, but moving him to the starting five might help. Alec Burks could be put in as the three and push Ausar to the four where his shooting isn't as big a problem.

I'd also toy around with benching Duren and going small with Stewart at the five, but either way, they have to do something to get more shooting into the starting five while they are waiting for Bojan Bogdanovic to return.
