Detroit Pistons take another guard in recent NBA Mock Draft

In the most recent NBA Mock Draft from Bleacher Report, the Detroit Pistons selected Rob Dillingham, the electric guard from Kentucky.

The Pistons have selected at least one guard in the last four drafts and three of them are still on the roster, so adding another undersized guard is not ideal.

However, Kentucky has a great track record of producing star guards if you look at the last 20 guards out of Kentucky, one of the only ones who didn't flourish in the NBA was Brandon Knight, the guy the Pistons selected (of course):

Dillingham can put up points from all over the floor, create for himself and others and shot 44 percent from long range on 4.5 attempts per game in his freshman season (which ended in the first round of the NCAA tourney).

But he's 6-foot-3 and the Pistons already have two undersized guards in Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser, so drafting Dillingham makes no sense unless one of them is on the move.

This is just a Mock Draft of course, but it may portend the offseason for the Detroit Pistons, at least as it pertains to Jaden Ivey.
