#2: Houston Rockets select Alex Sarr

The Rockets would be ecstatic if this happened, as they have jumped seven spots to the #2 pick in the draft with the pick they are owed from Brooklyn. Sarr isn’t a reach as far as talent, as most people have him mocked in the top three or four, but he’d be a reach for Houston, who already has several promising bigs including Jabari Smith Jr, Alperen Sengun and Tari Eason.

But taking Sarr would give them a surplus from which to trade, and given their draft assets, the Rockets could be in play for a star this offseason to push them into contention.

Houston doesn’t need Sarr, but he would give them big-time leverage in a trade, so he’s a bit of a reach positionally but not as far as talent or value.
