#3: Utah Jazz select Dalton Knecht
The Jazz jump up five spots and use the third pick to address a need. The Jazz were 22nd in 3-point percentage this season and Knecht figures to be a guy who can come in and score right away.
The Jazz already have young bigs and a strong backcourt, so throwing in Knecht (pushing Markkanen to the four) would give them more shooting and space in which to operate.
He’d definitely be a reach with the third pick, but he has skills that should translate to the NBA right away, making him one of the safest bets to at least be a rotation player next season.
A starting five of George, Sexton, Knecht, Markkanen and Walker (if he ever starts) is an interesting mix of slashing guards, shooting and rim protection.
