NBA Mock Draft: One prospect "reach" for every lottery team

#9: Memphis Grizzlies select Cody Williams 

This might not be a reach per se, as the Grizzlies are a good team that just had bad injury luck this season. Once they get Morant, Smart and Bane back, the Grizzlies should be competitive next season regardless of what they do with this pick. 

If they were able to find a taker in a trade, we might see Memphis move this pick, but if they don’t Williams makes sense for them as one of the better wing prospects still available. But it is a bit of a reach to select a guy in the top-10 who probably won’t start and may not even be in the rotation at the beginning of the season, as Williams has potential, but it is still raw. 

He’s also known as a playmaker, a skill he may not get to use much with Morant dominating the ball, but otherwise, he is a Memphis-type player, so this one is less of a reach than some of the others.
