The Detroit Pistons and Lauri Markkanen

Stein also mentioned that teams will be monitoring the Lauri Markkanen situation and the Pistons should be one of them.

Markkanen would be the perfect addition as a power forward who can shoot and protect the rim.

He's had some injury issues over the years but is an All-Star just coming into his prime and represents many of the skills the Pistons need to fix their dysfunctional roster.

The problem is that a lot of teams are thinking the same thing, so if Markkanen does become available, there will be no shortage of suitors for his services.

There's also the issue of assets. Do the Detroit Pistons even have what it would take to get him?
