Jarace Walker

Walker is further down the depth chart for the Pacers and seems the more likely player to be moved if they do make a trade.

He’s still only 21-years-old and hasn’t played much, but profiles as a player similar to Isaiah Stewart, a tweener big who can shoot a little but not do much else offensively.

Walker has flashed signs of being better with the ball than Stewart, which isn’t saying much and both players are versatile defenders.

All the same financial challenges exist with Walker, as the Pistons don’t really have the contract to match unless the Pacers were interested in Marcus Sasser, which seems unlikely.

If the Pistons don’t see Ivey as part of the long-term plans, they could flip him for Walker to avoid his extension, but Ivey is too much to give up for Walker straight up and doesn’t represent the kind of win-now talent the Pacers are seeking.

On paper, there are some swaps between the Pistons and Pacers that make sense, but it’s hard to make the money work, so there may need to be another team or two involved if a trade is going to happen.
