Moritz Wagner

Mortiz is a guy I would love as a backup center, as he can defend a little, shoot a little and provide some toughness. But he's another player on a team-friendly deal and he plays a key bench role for a good Orlando team, so it's unlikley they'd look to move him with a cheap team option remaining on his contract for next season.

Jerami Grant

We all know the story here. Does Portland regret the big deal they gave Jerami Grant? Hard to say. He's in a similar situation as the one he was in in Detroit, as he's the highest paid and best player on a young and rebuilding team. Not an All-Star but a solid player. Detroit cashed in their chips with Grant, which may have been a mistake, as they are still chasing a forward that fits his mold.

Grant will be an interesting name, as many teams could use him but might be scared off by that contract, which extends through the 2027-28 season.

Grant certainly wouldn't solve all of Detroit's problems, but he's a quality third banana who knows how to play basketball. Would he be worth the cost of a trade and that contract? Tough call.
