Once the Detroit Pistons hire a new president of basketball operations, that person is going to have a lot of work in front of them.

They’ll have to hit the ground running to prep for the NBA Draft, with free agency following close behind.

But the Pistons will explore all options to improve the roster this summer, including trades and nearly every team has a player Detroit could target.

In a recent article, Bleacher Report named a possible trade candidate from every team, some of which could be possibilities for the Detroit Pistons.

Isaiah Stewart was the player they named from the Pistons, and not every team had someone who was a possible match, but many did.

Here’s at least one trade candidate for the Pistons from nearly every team.

Atlanta Hawks: Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic

Just about anyone on Atlanta could be available this summer depending on the direction they go. It’s almost certain that one of their star guards will be moved, and if they are, Murray is the one that would most interest the Pistons as a two-way player who is better off the ball than Trae Young. Sixth Man of the Year candidate Bogdanovic seems less likely to be traded given his team-friendly salary.

Boston Celtics: Payton Pritchard

The Pistons will need a backup point guard and if Boston decides to keep their core together, they may have to shave some money around the fringes. It’s hard to imagine what the Celtics would want in return, but Pritchard does one thing the Pistons need out of a backup guard, which is shoot the 3-ball at a high level.
