Last year, I wrote an article predicting the stat lines Detroit Pistons rookies, Ausar Thompson and Marcus Sasser. Looking back at the predictions, they weren’t too far off.

Last year's Detroit Pistons rookie predictions vs. reality

My Predicted Ausar Thompson stat line - 8.6 PPG, 5.6 APG, 6.1 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 31.7% 3pt FG

Ausar Thompson's actual stat line - 8.8 PPG, 1.9 APG, 6.4 RPG, 1.1 SPG, 18% 3pt FG

"While Ausar’s rookie campaign may be headlined by freak-like, athletic plays or finishes at the rim, unfortunately for him, what Thompson immediately brings to Detroit may not be reflected on the stat sheet."

My original thoughts on Ausar Thompson

My Predicted Marcus Sasser stat line - 5.6 PPG, 3.6 APG, 2.1 RPG, 1.2 SPG, 39.4% 3pt FG

Marcus Sasser's actual stat line -8.3 PPG, 3.3 APG, 1.8 RPG, .6 SPG, 37.5% 3pt FG

"Nevertheless, if Sasser is given proper minutes, I think his contribution will be more eye-popping than Thompson, stat sheet-wise…Sasser is an excellent three point shooter. Without needing to do much retooling, Marcus will be able to play off the other Pistons and knockdown jumpers from deep."

My original thoughts on Marcus Sasser

So, let’s have some fun once again and predict the rookie stat lines for both Ron Holland and Bobi Klintman.
