2024 NBA All-Star snubs

Lauri Markkanen

Making the All-Star team as a forward in the Western Conference is no easy feat. Who would you take off the list, Anthony Edwards? Paul George? Kawhi Leonard?

The Utah Jazz started the season slowly and fell off everyone's radar, though they've since been on a tear and have pulled themselves into play-in tournament contention.

Markkanen is a big reason why, as he is averaging 23.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and two assists per game on shooting splits that are just a hair shy of the illustrious 50/40/90 club.

Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging very similar numbers and he too is a few made free throws away from joining the best shooters in NBA history. He's also on the team that is currently leading the West, so I understand his inclusion as he and his team are having a fantastic season.

Like I said, it's not easy to make the All-Star team and it shouldn't be.
