We're getting to the point in NBA trade season when fans of the Detroit Pistons usually start facing reality.

The big trade is not likely to come at the deadline, as the Pistons don't have the assets and would probably be better waiting until draft day if they want to make a splashy trade, as they'll have more to offer, including their 2024 1st-round pick, which is all but guaranteed to be in the top five.

But that doesn't mean they won't make a move at all, and there are still plenty of players potentially available even if the Pistons can land any of the top names. So forget about Mikal Bridges and Lauri Markkanen (for now), here are some names that are more realistic for the Detroit Pistons.

Luke Kennard

Hey, hey, our old friend Luke Kennard. We are all well aware of Kennard's strengths and weaknesses, as he is one of the best shooters in the NBA, but can't defend and has a hard time staying healthy.

The Grizzlies might like to get something for Kennard, as he only has a team option for next season at just over $14 million and the Grizzlies are in salary-cap hell, so they won't have the cap space to exercise it.

The Pistons still need shooting and Kennard is a career 44 percent shooter from long range. He won't cost much and the Pistons could likely decline his option for next season and re-sign him on a team-friendly deal if they were so inclined.

I admittedly just want to see this for the reaction from Pistons' Twitter.
