Possible trade targets for the Detroit Pistons

Pascal Siakam

I'm not sure the Pistons even have the assets to get Siakam, who will likely be the biggest name at the trade deadline. He's also on an expiring deal and going to test free agency, so it would be a big risk for the Detroit Pistons. I do think Siakam moves the needle, but even if the Pistons could guarantee he'd stay, they'd be paying max dollars for a guy who might be sliding from his prime already. He at least doesn't have a long injury history, but giving him a max deal is a risky proposition.

OG Anunoby

This is the guy I would pursue, as he entering his prime, is already one of the best wing defenders in the league and can spread the floor, shoot the 3-ball and get his own shot. He's a fringe All-Star, and the Pistons might have to overpay to keep him, but when you look at the available options, he might be the best. He would at least give them two elite defenders on the wing, which is something you can build around.

3 free agent flops the Pistons rightfully avoided, 5 home runs they missed out on. dark. Next. 3 free agent flops the Pistons rightfully avoided, 5 home runs they missed out on
