With a record of 3-36, the Detroit Pistons aren't exactly brimming with talent that other teams covet.
The Pistons keep claiming that they hope to be buyers at the NBA trade deadline, but there are limited impact targets and they have limited resources to acquire them.
Detroit could also just sell off some players at the deadline, clear their expiring contracts and get some fresh faces onto a team that needs major transformation.
Here are six teams that might want to trade for one or more of the Detroit Pistons before the deadline.
Teams that might want players on the Detroit Pistons
Dallas Mavericks- Frontcourt players
The Mavs are set at guard but could use depth everywhere else, especially in the frontcourt, where they currently have injuries and are thin past rookie Dereck Lively II, who is currently hurt.
Dallas is a team that could come calling about one of the Pistons' bigs, specifically Isaiah Stewart, who would be a nice fit as a flexible big who can shoot a little, grab rebounds and doesn't need the ball.
Denver Nuggets- Center depth
The Nuggets only have Deandre Jordan and Zeke Nnaji behind Nikola Jokic at center, so would love to add some more depth. Isaiah Stewart is probably out of their price range, but could the Pistons interest them in a lightly used Marvin Bagley III? Probably not, though Denver has not shied away from ex-Pistons in the past.
