Fans of the Detroit Pistons have spent plenty of time dreaming about players the team may eventually be able to acquire in a trade.

Yesterday, we ranked the Pistons’ top-3 trade targets as of right now, though it’s more likely we see a big trade after this season and not during given what Trajan Langdon has done so far.

The Pistons were also named a “sneaky destination” for a potential star, as they have a bit of cap space to go along with tradable contracts and young talent to entice a team.

But there is another side to this, which is teams that will come looking for Pistons players to acquire in trades, and for the 5th-straight season we can expect plenty of trade rumors involving Detroit.

Bleacher Report recently put together a list of each team’s top-3 trade targets for next season and some Pistons players made the cut.

Simone Fontecchio

-OKC Thunder

It’s difficult to imagine the Detroit Pistons trading Simone Fontecchio next season. They need his shooting and he’s on one of the best contracts in the NBA.

But all of those things are why he could potentially be a hot commodity, as he is an impact player whose salary is low enough for any team to absorb.

The Thunder would love his shooting coming off the bench, but unless they are ready to cough up picks, it’s not happening.

Fontecchio is one of the Pistons' value signings who could net them a haul in assets, but right now, his shooting is too valuable.

I expect we will re-visit this at the trade deadline, and certainly by next season, as Fontecchio’s contract and production will make him a player other teams will covet.
