Detroit Pistons who should be traded

The will they/won't they game with Bojan Bogdanovic needs to end one way or another in 2024. Either the Detroit Pistons will trade him before the deadline or pick up his option for next season at $20 million.

It appears the team is leaning towards the latter, though that could change if the right offer comes up. If the Knicks were to offer the Pistons their pick back, they'd almost have to move Bogdanovic, as it would allow them to add more draft picks into future trades.

My prediction is that Bogdanovic will eventually be moved for a late first-round pick and an expiring deal, likely less than they would have gotten for him last season. If that first-round pick is never on offer, expect Bojan to be back.

The Pistons should be able to deal Alec Burks now that it looks like he remembered how to shoot. They aren't going to get much for Burks, so don't get too excited, but he should net them a young player and a second-round pick or two from someone, possibly the Miami Heat.

I don't think the Pistons will find a taker for Marvin Bagley III but they should be trying, as he isn't even in the rotation right now, $12.5 million well spent there, Troy! Weaver has $25 million wrapped up in two backup centers who combined aren't as good as Andre Drummond, who is making $3.3 million this season. Talk about not getting value for money, the Pistons roster will be improved dramatically by ditching these two and replacing them with minimum veteran centers.

I predict the Pistons will come up short in trading MBIII, but Bogdanovic and Burks will be gone.
