Malik Beasley: B-

Even though Beasley didn’t shoot the ball well in the preseason, he showed what he will bring on top of elite shooting, which is leadership. He’s been helpful to Cade Cunningham, and the threat of his shooting is enough to create space.

I like that Beasley has been a vocal leader, especially on defense and he is going to be a plus addition to the Pistons in several ways.

Simone Fontecchio: C+

Fontecchio’s overall numbers were buoyed by a 5-for-10 shooting performance from long range last night, but he struggled aside from that.

However, he ran the floor well, played active defense and showed some of the other things he brings to the table other than shooting. Fontecchio is a good finisher in transition and can be a weapon.
