Studs and duds: Pistons' grades for the preseason

Cade Cunningham: B+ 

After a couple of dud games, Cunningham finished strongly and showed a player ready to make the All-Star team this season. He took care of the ball, had some nice finishes around the rim and racked up over six assists per game in just over 20 minutes played. He looks like a guy who is ready to be top five in assists this season and we are finally getting to see what he looks like with space around him. 

I think we forgot that Cunningham is an elite playmaker who was stunted by a bad team, so seeing him operate with space is a thing of beauty. Cade’s All-Star season is incoming.
