Orazio Cauchi of Sportando:

"Stan Van Gundy, Pistons head-coach, will attend the game between Barcelona and Obradoiro tonight to watch Mario Hezonja, per source."

"Van Gundy will stay in Spain until the end of the week to watch also Kristaps Porzingis, another top European prospect."

This is why it gets me when people say the Pistons shouldn’t draft foreign players. Just because you don’t know much about Hezonja and Porzingis doesn’t mean the Pistons don’t. They’re putting in work to learn as much about these prospects as possible.

Both Hezonja and Porzingis are viable candidates for the No. 8 pick, which the Pistons would hold unless they move up in the lottery. Hopefully, Van Gundy finds someone he’d be happy to take there, because the Pistons have just a 10 percent chance of moving up.
