Like last season with Spencer Dinwiddie, the Pistons grabbed a veteran guard in the second round in Villanova’s Darrun Hilliard.

He was one of the best players on a Villanova team that won a lot of games this season. He projects as a 3-and-D wing, which is valuable in today’s NBA. I’d rather have seen them go for a high-upside player like UNLV’s Christian Wood, but shooting is shooting.

Hilliard shot 40 percent from deep over the past two seasons and has good size for his position at 6-foot-6. Here’s Hilliard’s DraftExpress profile if you want an in-depth look.
