The 2016 NBA draft is rapidly approaching. Since teams set their board based on tiers, it’s a good time to go ahead and place the 2016 draft candidates into groups.

PistonPowered has released its big board and its mock draft. The next logical step is to categorize the next generation of NBA players into tiers based on their combination of talent, skills, size, and potential.

As always, these tiers will only go 18 players deep, because the Pistons are picking 18th and after the top 18, the post loses its relevance.

Also of note, this tier isn’t geared towards the Pistons. That will come at a later date. For now, let’s stick to the top players in the draft and focus on the Pistons next week.

Tier 2

Tier 3

Tier 4
