The Detroit Pistons have signed Landry Nnoko to a partially guaranteed league-minimum contract. Nnoko played for the Pistons’ Summer League team.

The Detroit Pistons are another step closer to constructing their training camp roster after signing center Landry Nnoko to a partially guaranteed league-minimum contract late Wednesday night.

Nnoko is the second such minimum signing in the past week after the Pistons signed Derek Willis, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Kentucky, a week ago. The Pistons will primarily expect Nnoko and Willis to provide competition in training camp and the preseason as this will bring their roster to 16 players. 15 is the maximum for an active roster, and the Pistons don’t intend to carry 14 for most of the season, leaving Nnoko and Willis as the likely odd men out.

The 6’10” Nnoko played his college ball at Clemson, playing 128 games over his four-year collegiate career. He averaged almost 6 points and 5 rebounds at Clemson, shooting 52 percent from the field and 63 percent from the free throw line.

He went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft and played last season in Italy with Consultinvest VL Pesaro of the Italian Lega A, averaging 6.4 points per game in 23 minutes per appearance.

Nnoko played for the Detroit Pistons’ Orlando Summer League team, seeing the floor for just over 11 minutes per game in his three appearances. A year ago he played for both the Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs’ Summer League teams. This feat was possible because the Magic and Spurs play in two different summer leagues.
