– The Sixers have done a tremendous job this offseason building for the future, even if it means they will most likely be the laughingstock of the NBA this year. But that is the best place for a team that wasn’t going to make the playoffs as laid out prior to this offseason, and had to do something.

Philly did the best you could possibly imagine for a team blowing up the roster. They added potentially the best player in the 2013 draft in Nerlens Noel, a rock solid prospect at point guard in Michael Carter-Williams, an extremely valuable, and potential lottery selection in the loaded 2014 draft from New Orleans, and added a head coach from a great background in Brett Brown. Brown signed a 4-year deal with the team on Monday, August 12th.

Even though Philly may be the worst team in the league next year, they had one of the best offseasons. And if they land a top 3 pick to go along with MCW and Noel, look out NBA.

2013-2014 Prediction: 19-63
